Donation for the 2007 Cadillac Invitational Tournament for Champions Charity Auction Benefits Kent's Foundation for Child Life

November 13, 2007 - the food sherpa, a customized in-home personal chef service donated a romantic gourmet dinner for two that was sold to the highest bidder at Kent's Foundation for Child Life’s 3rd annual golf tournament and auction on October 22, 2007. The silent and live auction benefited the Child Life program at Children's National Medical Center in Washington, DC. This year’s event was held at Belle Haven Country Club in Alexandria, Virginia.

the food sherpa's donation of a romantic three-course dinner for two was coupled with a spa package and a bouquet of flowers. All of the proceeds for the package, which sold for $900.00, will benefit Kent's Foundation for Child Life.

According to the 2007 Cadillac Invitational Tournament for Champions website, “Child Life, a specialized program at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, DC helps children and their families cope with the stresses associated with illness, injury and hospitalization. Using socialization, therapeutic play and educational techniques, Child Life specialists help children work through anxiety, prepare for medical procedures and maintain a sense of normalcy during this chaotic period and provides support for their families.”
