January 31, 2010 - the food sherpa believes that the little things matter. This belief is reflected in everything that the food sherpa does, from his attention to detail before, during, and after each service down to the way that he runs his business on a daily basis.
Some common examples include:
- Making a concerted effort to use the most seasonal and locally-grown ingredients for his cook dates whenever possible.
- Duplex printing of all handling instructions left for clients at the end of each cook date, as well as other business documents, when appropriate.
- Emailing client invoices and use of e-bills to pay vendors and service providers whenever technically supported.
- Recycling of printer toner cartridges, office paper, and any old computer equipment and accessories no longer in use.
Though seemingly of little impact when taken as individual parts, the food sherpa believes that when added together, the little things can really make a difference for his clients, his company, and the larger community as a whole.
